Shopping for ingredients in Lanzarote can be a nightmare if you don’t know the Spanish words for what you are trying to buy.

We’ll try to add to this list as time goes by for you – but in the meantime… here’s just a few translations to help you when buying ingredients for your culinary delights!

English – Spanish translation
Basil -  Albahaca
Bay leaves -  Laurel
Bread -  Pan
Cinnamon -  Canela
Coriander -  Cilantro
