Lanzarote Relocation

One of people’s complaints about living in Lanzarote, is that there isn’t much to do socially once you’ve done the tourist spots… and know your local bars. So… when having lunch with Lisa and Jackie recently… we were chuffed to pieces that they have spotted this too… and decided to do something about it.

Lisa & Jackie are now arranging Workshops/Nightclasses for locals, The first set of 6 workshops offers something new and fun to do in the winter months.  The classes are small and only have limited places so book early to avoid disappointment.  The cost is 10€ per class and they are being held in Puerto Calero.

Wednesday 3rd February 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Introduction to Meditation

A workshop introduction to WHY do we need meditation and how we meditate. We’ll take you through a basic meditation and then discuss it amongst the group afterwards.  To start the evening I’d just like to cover the safety of working with spiritual energies, to cover your psychic protection.

Wednesday 10th February 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Meditation

The second workshop:   We’ll cover more aspects of meditation, its uses, and benefits, how it can support you within your life. I’ll take you through two meditations. The first A HEALING MEDITATION; then MEETING YOUR GUIDE MEDITATION which is a more enlightened, more experienced meditation for using in your future life.

Wednesday 17th March 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Introduction Astrology

On this taster course you will start to understand your relationship with the cosmos with a look at birth charts and the effect of planets on your character. Please give your birth details; time and place of birth when you register for this taster (They will not be used against you!). Handouts will be given but a pen and paper may come in handy!

Wednesday 24th March 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Introduction to Photography

This course is designed to introduce the basics of working with your photos on the computer. If you have a laptop with Picasa (free download on internet) on it please bring it along. A fun photo session will be part of the evening so a camera will be necessary. There also is a possibility of an outdoor photographic workshop to follow this course. (Max 10 people)

Wednesday 3rd March 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Introduction to Massage

This workshop will be of interest to anyone wishing to learn basic massage techniques to use with family and friends.  Participants will work on one another to gain practical knowledge of massage to head, kneck, shoulders, feet and hands. (footwear is the only thing that will need to be removed).  Information on safety will be included and hand outs given.  Please bring a towel and a cushion or pillow with you.

Wednesday 10th March 2010. 7pm – 9pm – Introduction to Reflexology

This workshop will enable participants to gain both theoretical and practical understanding of this ancient therapy.  By working on one another they will leave with the skill to safely give friends and family a reflexology foot treatment.  Reflexology charts and other hand outs will be given.  Please bring a towel and a cushion or pillow with you.
