We had a Lanzarote lady contact us around 18 months or so ago that wanted an Ice Cream Making Machine bought over. We gave her the price and did not hear back from her until nearly ten months later. She had chosen to send her machine via DHL - they were £18 cheaper than us. The machine was dispatched from the UK and arrived in Madrid some five days later. There it sat for a number of MONTHS only to be returned to the UK sender. The return of the goods was because of incorrect customs formalities. The lady then engaged us and her machine was delivered to her door in ten days later. So, she paid two lots of charges and the machine was received in 10 months and 10 days…….
We moved a family back to Birmingham who had been living here for just under a year. When we collected their boxes from Puerto del Carmen we noted that they were all un opened Pickfords removal boxes. When we asked why they had not unpacked they told us that they had been waiting SEVEN months for their consignment to arrive……..Goods held up in Gran Canaria - again due to incorrect customs documentation. By the time their effects had arrived they had already decided to return to the UK
A couple living in Los Mojones are returning to Dublin at the end of July. We have been asked to move them back. They have been here for just three months and decided it is not for them.
