Really good question! Our first thoughts would be to contact that Police Station. A quickie Google search brought up 928 44 64 00 as the number for the local police in Las Palmas. Alternatively, in our own situation... we'd speak to our Asesoria (accountant) here in Lanzarote - as he knows the system.

Another good place to try would be Guy at www.a-zpaperwork.com It was him who originally sorted our NIE numbers out - so he would probably be able to help.

Good luck - and please do pop back and let us know how you got on.

Hi!

I don't know if I'm on the right place for this kind of information but... I'll try my luck!

I have gone to the Police station in Las Palmas last year and asked for my NIE as I was on business there, but after that I never came back to get any paper. How do I know my NIE number so that I can open an account in Lanzarote?

Thank you.

Best wishes.
