Our first thoughts would be to contact that Police Station. A quickie Google search brought up 928 44 64 00 as the number for the local police in Las Palmas. Alternatively, in our own situation... we'd speak to our Asesoria (accountant) here in Lanzarote - as he knows the system. Another good place to try would be Guy at www.a-zpaperwork.com It was him who originally sorted our NIE numbers out - so he would probably be able to help.
