New market in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
A new market has started in Playa Blanca. It is held every Friday in the Punta Limones commercial centre. Stretching round from the car park, it is also around the front by the Irish Anvil, and ends at the harbour road by La Esquina.
Predominantly leather goods and tourist gifts, this is the first time the market has been in this area for a number of years. Our bank manager was explaining that up until a few years ago, the market used to stretch from Playa Flamingo all the way along the seafront. Not sure how people would have squeezes past the stalls then, without falling over the seawall… but it’s certainly good to see a market up that end of town again.
Of course both Burki’s market, and the Marina Rubicon market continue to be held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings as usual.
Happy Shopping!
