Exciting times, then eh? Definitely make sure that you bring plenty of money to live on for a while. Lanzarote is suffering just as everywhere else is right now... and jobs are scarce. Spain has thre highest unemployment rate in Europe... and the Canaries are amongst the worst hit. Bars are suffering all over the Island right now too...as a knock on effect of the credit crunch and visitor numbers being down. But don't be disheartened... because these tough times won't last forever. Keep your plans going... and the best of luck to you and your family. Do rent first... so that you can make sure that you have chosen the right area. Somewhere that is great for a holiday might not be suitable for living in. This is why many choose not to live in the resorts themselves... and perhaps go inland a bit.. or further north. Keep in touch - and let us know how you get on! Elle xx HIya guys.
