Lanzarote Jobs

As this site has grown… more and more people email us about jobs in Lanzarote and how to get one.

The Jobs in Lanzarote section of this site has some general advice, but we also post job vacancies free of charge for anyone looking for employees on the Island.

With this in mind – we are opening up this page for anyone looking for work to post their details for potential employers to look at. This is not an employment service, we do not get directly involved in the recruitment process… and of course this is all free!

If you would like to add your details to this page – simply add the following information to the comments box below this page.

Good luck with your job search!

Name: You can put your full name, or simply a first name if you prefer.
Availability: Either add a date from when you are able to start work, or something like “immediately”
How to Contact: Your preferred method of contact, such as a telephone number or email address*
Experience: Write here about the kind of work you are seeking, and what relevant working experience you have (if any)
Notes: You can use this area to write any additional information that you feel may be of use to an Employer reading this.

*We respect people’s privacy… so if you would prefer not to have your email address or phone number publicly showing – then email the information to info@lanzaroterelocation.co.uk and we will publish your other info minus the contact details on your behalf… and will only pass them to prospective employers should they approach us.

Hello, Can someone please tell me how far the “la goleta” phase of faro park. i.e how far is it to the lighthouse cafe?
    thanks

  • Hi Jackie. It really is a decision that only you and your family can make. However,… do bear in mind that there are very few jobs here too… that wages are quite a bit lower… and that it is often harder for teens to settle than adults or younger kids.

That being said… if you are really determined, have plenty of mney saved up to help you whilst you get settled, and are already learning some of the lingo… then go for it!

  • James McCrone:

Hi, I’m looking to move for a period of 3 to 6 months or maybe even longer if given the chance. I have worked for the council in a proffessional job roll for a consortium of bosses in the area (organising meetings, taking minutes, hadnling client documents etc). I have done 6 months in administration and have A levels in ICT. Also, I have worked at a gokarting track for 3 years part time so i know how to supervise and monitor the safety of a work place. I would do any kind of admin or basic IT roll or even something behind a front desk to rep style work or bar work. As long as there is enough hours to make the money to live there I would do it. If anybody is interested please get in touch. I’ve been wanting to do this for as long as I can remember. James.

Daved is a multi skilled person, with years of experience in disabled adaptations of bathrooms and kitchens, he also has experience in building and construction but is willing to do general labouring if required. I have 30 years experience of administration work but am willing to do anything if the need arises. He also has a clean driving licence.

  • Hi Anthony – I’m afraid I don’t know. I do see street entertainers at the markets… but the ones occasionally along the promenades in the resorts move on pretty quickly when the police appear. That tells me that there is probably a license needed… so it’s a possibility.

  • Gary:

    Hi

Myself an my wife have been considering moving to lanzarote we have had 2 very nice holidays and have really enjoyed the country, i currently work in a office as a personal assistant and my wife is a dance teacher.

Do you know if there are any jobs going at the moment that may be good for us?

    Kind regards

    Gary

  • Sorry James, I can’t. Historically it’s been close to impossible for a non-Spanish person to get one. However, there are now a number of non-Spanish drivers so it’s easier now. However… I still am yet to see a British or Irish driver. Make sure you’re fluent in Spanish of course, or you stand zero chance of success obviously.

    thanks chaz

  • Aha! You’d have had a bit of an underwater trip otherwise :)
Definitely learn Spanish… and then perhaps approach them once you are here. There aren’t many non-Spanish taxi drivers… but they do exist, so it’s possible.
    Good luck!

Apologies silly me got the wrong airport!! not Malaga, the one near lanzarote or any airport on the canary islands!

  • Hello “Angela”. As I answered on your previous comment about work as a taxi driver… Malaga is nowhere near Lanzarote. Therefore the work you are seeking does not exist.

    Hi,

I’ve recently been on a holiday to Puerto Del Carmen and had such a great time I’m planning to return in 2012 during my gap year. I have a flight booked and paid for landing on 3rd April 2012 and I’m looking for a job. I plan on staying for a few months. I am looking to work in a restaurant, pub or club. I will be 19 years old when I arrive in April 2012 and I have behind the bar and waitressing experience after working at a pub. I can also speak basic spanish after studying it at GCSE and AS Level.

Please contact me by email, lucy.hoskin@hotmail.co.uk

    Thanks, Lucy.

  • Hello Angela. I’ve spoken very briefly about work as a taxi driver on your other comment… ie, you would need to contact them direct in case there are any restrictions. However, he will absolutely need to speak Spanish. I am confused as to why you are asking about Malaga airport though – as there certainly wouldn’t be any Malaga Airport runs here. Elle xx
