Lanzarote Jobs

As this site has grown… more and more people email us about jobs in Lanzarote and how to get one.

The Jobs in Lanzarote section of this site has some general advice, but we also post job vacancies free of charge for anyone looking for employees on the Island.

With this in mind – we are opening up this page for anyone looking for work to post their details for potential employers to look at. This is not an employment service, we do not get directly involved in the recruitment process… and of course this is all free!

If you would like to add your details to this page – simply add the following information to the comments box below this page.

Good luck with your job search!

Name: You can put your full name, or simply a first name if you prefer.
Availability: Either add a date from when you are able to start work, or something like “immediately”
How to Contact: Your preferred method of contact, such as a telephone number or email address*
Experience: Write here about the kind of work you are seeking, and what relevant working experience you have (if any)
Notes: You can use this area to write any additional information that you feel may be of use to an Employer reading this.

*We respect people’s privacy… so if you would prefer not to have your email address or phone number publicly showing – then email the information to info@lanzaroterelocation.co.uk and we will publish your other info minus the contact details on your behalf… and will only pass them to prospective employers should they approach us.

  • Hi Richard.
Regarding schools and healthcare – there is some general info already on the site… so do have a mooch about – but feel free to send more specific questions to info@lanzaroterelocation.co.uk – as everybody’s situation is different.
Moving costs: Speak to Karen at CK Haulage. She’s not the cheapest, but she IS the best
Speaking Spanish: Learn as much as you can before you head over… as that will definitely help. I don’t recommend specific teachers as everyone responds differently to different teaching methods – but there are plenty about, so you’ll find one easily enough. Plus the Ayuntamientos run free Spanish lessons from Sept/Oct each year.
Business: Definitely have a chat to Chris at http://www.businessfinderlanzarote.com as he is best placed to help with businesses. His focus is on that rather than “anything and everything” so he’ll be able to help or simply provide some help. Good luck!

  • Richard:

Hi, there me and my family(wife and 9 yr old son) are thinking about moving to lanzarote within the next 12 months sooner if possible . We would like some info on schools doctors hospitals dentist tax ETC moving costs, where to live – and more importantly a good Spanish teacher as my wife and son speak no Spanish, should we just go for it and live in a Spanish community to overcome this? I do speak a little but need more. My wife is a part qualified accountant , I have run a business in the uk and the last 15 years have been a involved in customer service and electronics / computers. Having been made redundant 18 months ago we are looking to start / buy a business and open to any suggestions or possible partners and have looked for a partner in the uk who is willing to come with us but prepared to go it alone if nessasary.
    Thanks for reading
    Richard

Hola, Soy un musico toco guitarra y cantar, busco trabajo.
Which I hope tells you that I am a singer/guitarist looking for work in Lanzarote. We relocate in January 2011 to the Playa Blanca area and have already applied for residency as we are coming for the long haul. I did 3 months in 2009 but work was very scarce. I’m hoping that visitor numbers are on the increase and more musicians will be employed.

Any tips/advice or offers of work would be greatfully received.

How about entertainment agencies? I found one but the seams to have fallen by the wayside.

    Gracias, MickT.

  • Elle:

Hello there Rachel – and thank you for leaving a comment.
Yes, your hubby should be able to find work easily enough with those skills… although more as a self-employed person than an employee. As with any business startup though – things take time, and those first few months may well be quite tough whilst he gets established and builds a reputation.
No problem to get your kiddies into school – but for peace of mind, I would recommend that you pay someone to guide you through it and go along to the school with you. I’m sorry, but you can’t pay us as we don’t provide that service – but perhaps speak to someone like Ben from http://www.asesoriaeuropa.com or Guy from A-Z Paperwork. The cost is far outweighed by the knowledge that everything will be done correctly for you.
As for best place to live – nowhere in lanzarote is far from the sea… but if your Spanish isn’t up to much, then I would recommend that you start in one of the larger resorts or towns for now. Playa Blanca, Costa teguise, Puerto del Carmen or Tias would be my top recommendations. They all have their pros and cons… and it really is a choice that only you can make. Don’t let anyone push you into buying a property straight away – do rent first, to check that you’ve chosen the right area for you and your family.
    Good luck!
    Elle xxxx

  • Liz:

    Liz Ryder.
I sing to backing discs. I also sing and play the guitar when I am singing folk songs and Irish songs. I sing country and balads mostly when I am singing to backing discs.

I will be moving to Lanzarote at the beginning of November of this year.
I will be available to sing any evening and afternoon if required.

I have had a lot of experience as a solo artist. I have sung in pups and clubs and I also sing in elderly residential homes, so I am familiar with the old sing alongs.

I will be visiting Peurto Del Carmen for a two week holiday on the 3rd of September. I will bring a demo disc over with me. If you would like a copy then please contact me on the number below or email me. If you would like me to give a demo performance one evening during my two week stay free of charge then I would be more than happy to do so for you to hear my voice and hopefully you will be happy to employ me as your regular entertainer.

I look forward to hearing from you. My contact number is: 07862689919

    Yours Faithfully,
    Liz Ryder.
