Can I get my prescription medicine from chemists in Lanzarote?

There was once a time when prescription drugs were freely available over the counter in Lanzarote. This is regulated now - and shouldn’t happen with all prescription medicines. However, there are some medications that are prescription only in the UK, but over the counter here.

One thing is for certain - it seems to be a lot cheaper. Recently, a prescription with 4 different items on it cost us just €17! A bit cheaper than £24 eh?
