Disabled Access in Playa Blanca
Lanzarote is a beautiful island that is fully committed to ensuring as many of the stunning and interesting places are fully accessible to all who visit here. Lanzarote has many future plans to improve the island to make as many areas as possible as wheelchair accessible as possible. Many bars and restaurants have already made changes and have altered their entrances and toilets to be fully accessible to all who visit.
Some tourist attractions have made further alterations such as Timanfaya mountain, who now provide specialist buses which can be lowered to enable wheelchairs to move easily onto a platform and then be taken up to bus level before being taken on a breathtaking tour of the volcanoes.
To the south of the island in Playa Blanca work is currently being undertaken to develop a map which will show ‘blue routes’ these routes are Playa Blanca’s wheelchair friendly routes.
The promenade along the sea front is fully accessible enabling you to see the best Playa Blanca has to offer, Make your way along the sea front, from close to the light house at Faro park via Playa Blanca village and finish at the Marina. On the way experience Playa Blanca’s fresh fish and local wines in the abundance of bars and restaurants along the sea front with their stunning views of Los Lobos and Fuerteventura.
