Chill Out!

When living and working in Lanzarote, and trying to build up your own business, or working many many hours to feed the family – there is one thing that is often forgotten… and that is to take out some time for yourself.

We love it here, we work hard, and it definitely pays off – but we sometimes forget to take some “time out” and relax a bit. Back in the UK, I regularly visited the local salon for a bit of pampering, and maybe a facial or a massage. But since moving to Lanzarote… I have let the “me time” slip completely.

The stresses and strains of daily life can wreak havoc with your neck muscles – and so I was very excited to go and have a proper massage last week, from the lovely Lisa (you may recall an article she submitted to this site recently: Holistic Therapy in Lanzarote). I had a full body massage, and as she massaged the aches and pains from my shoulders, neck, back, tummy, arms and legs… I could feel the stresses and strains wafting away. The oddest one for me was when she massaged my right hand – as I hadn’t realised how knotted up it had become from simply using a computer mouse for so many hours a day. I hadn’t had any pain or discomfort previously – but to feel it releasing was wonderful. I came out from my session feeling relaxed, chiulled, and my skin was glowing.

I can highly recommend that you go and visit Lisa. Her therapy room is beautifully decorated, with soothing music, and nice smells.

To book your therapy session, or for more information… and to feel as floaty as I did afterwards – you can visit her website HERE. You won’t regret it!
