Check for speeding fines and parking tickets for free

I subscribe to a couple of expat newsletters – and the one that arrived this afternoon from Eye On Spain had a really useful link on it. Best of all, it’s completely free!

Click on www.buscamultas.com and input your NIE number into the first box, and your car registration into the second box. The site then searches records to check whether you have any outstanding fines against your vehicle. This is especially useful for residents of Lanzarote who have problems with the postal system… and perhaps may not know that they have received a fine.

You can also subscribe afterwards to receive notification by email for future fines – though this is of course not a formal website by the traffic authority.

They gain the information by searching official government documentation.

We’re clear – are you?!

What a brilliant find!!! However if there has been a postal one delivered (if I understand the Spanish right) it may not show these.
    Thanks again Elle & Alan!
