As a local finding bus timetables for Lanzarote has always been a nightmare thanks Elle for making it easy to find the way around the island with the buses! Very useful for my cousin who is out on his holidays and is too young to hire a car but still wants to see a bit more than just Playa Blanca!
Phil
You’re welcome Phil – hope he has a good time. And do let him know that the bus stop in Playa Blanca Centre has now moved to just opposite the Estacion de Guaguas now.

can anyone tell me how to get a bus and where from at the airport to club la santa.
t
Hi there Helen.
You will need to get the bus from the airport to Arrecife. Timetable here:
http://www.arrecifebus.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=42
And then from the same place in Arrecife to La Santa. Timetable here:

I’m not entirely sure which floor you get the bus from at the airport… but I think it’s on the same level as “arrivals”. In Arrecife, the bus driver will shout out “Arrecife” – and the bus to La Santa is from the same place.
Alternatively if your arrival times are a bit odd… or you would simply like a private transfer… then have a chat to the lovely Karsten at http://www.t4you.eu and his private transfers to La Santa. It’s obviously more expensive than the buses… but the ease of a private transfer can save you all that waiting around.
Good luck!

Hello, this is a fantastic site!
We are relocating to lanzarote in december after going an our honeymoon only 3 weeks ago, we are bringing our 2 kids age 5 and 7 and are confident about finding a school (spanish residential) they are so excited
We will be renting a small apartment in Puerto Del Carmen or Teguise bringing around £10,000. My Question is, My husband wants to drive the tour buses (as that seems the best option so as not to work shifts) we know its better to ‘be on the ground’ but are there any websites that advertise/give information for this job? He has an automatic license, though he would get his manual license in the UK costing £900 so we wouldnt want it to be a waste of money (although we will both do whatever untill a job came up!) any help would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards, C.
HI there Carrie… and congratulations on your move, and your wedding too!!!
Have a chat to Karsten via http://www.t4you.eu as he will probably be able to advise you. He’s a good fella, and his English is very good (even though he says it isn’t). He can’t get your hubby a job, as he’s a broker not a bus company… but he might be able to offer you some advice.
I know that it is notoriously difficult to get into that industry here… but certainly not impossible as we know a couple of British coach drivers here. Don’t expect to receive the money that he may be used to in the UK though hon.
Good luck!

PS: Thanks for your kind words about the site too – I shall pop it into the testimonials section.
comming on holiday on friday and cant work out the bus tomes form the airport to playa blanca we land at 10:15am what is the best one to get where do i have to go from the fromt doors of the airport and ruffley how much will it cost would i be better of getting a taxi
thanks
stevie
Hi Stevie. It’s a bit of a mare to get the bus from the airport to Playa Blanca… as you first have to get one from the airport to Arrecife… and then change at Arrecife for the number six to Playa Blanca. I’ll give you the steps for it… and then offer you an alternative. Taxis are convenient… but also very expensive.
Ok… for the bus…
Firstly you need to get the number 22 bus from the airport that will take you to Arrecife. Please ask at information whether it is upstairs or downstairs that you get it… as I am unsure. But it will say “Arrecife Bus” on the side. Looking at the timetable – there is one at 10:55 which should be fine for you… or every half hour after that if you have a delay getting your cases. The drivers speak a teeny amount of English – and will be able to tell you where in Arrecife to get off. From there – simply cross over the road and get the number 6 bus to Playa Blanca. Now these are a lot more sporadic. But the times applicable to you are 11:15 (which I think is cutting it a bit fine) or 12:15. The links on this page will take you to the full timetables. Just click on the number 6 or number 22 buses for more details. The cost will be approximately just under 5 euros per person each way. I think it’s 3.20 from Arrecife to Playa Blanca… and it should only be a little over a euro from the airport to Arrecife.
Ok… and alternative for you. http://www.t4you.eu do a shared shuttle transfer. The price is a bit over double (£20 – note in £ not euros). But… you are met at the airport by a representative… and taken as close to your door as they can get the coach. Personally I’d rather pay double and not have to worry about changing buses etc.
I am very aware that it is only 2 days until your holiday – so email Karsten direct immediately on info@t4you.eu and mark it urgent to reserve your seats. If you haven’t heard anything back by tomorrow lunchtime – then please email me immediately on info@lanzaroterelocation.co.uk… as then I shall give him a call for you, and reply back as soon as possible…
Hope that helps!
Have a great holiday!

HI There
I,m coming to Lanzarote ( puerto Calero ) and would like to know if i can get hold of a bus route map and also some ideas on cost of fares . In tenerife you can buy a “bono” card for the buses , does this sort of thing operate on Lanzarote
Hi Peter – yes you can get a bono card on the bus – just ask the driver. Their English is very limited, but if you ask for a “bono” they should sort you out. Unfortunately… buses that actually stop at Puerto Calero are few and far between – have a look at Linea 24 on this page.
Once you’ve clicked that link… use the drop down menus at the top on the site that opens to select Puerto Calero… and then whichever town you want to get to… and it will give you the prices.
You can walk from Calero to the Old Town of Puerto del Carmen… along the coastal path… but it is quite a trek, so take some water with you, and good shoes.
