Lanzarote Relocation

The management tourist body of Lanzarote, ASOLAN, has elected a new president. Technician in Tourism and Hotel Direction and executive Susana Pérez Represa has been appointed to be responsible for the Insular Association of Businessmen of Hotels and Apartments of Lanzarote.

Pérez Represa has been linked to the tourist activity of Lanzarote in recent years and specifically to ASOLAN since 2007, and was elected the president during a General Assembly on Thursday night, January 15, in the lounges of El Fondeadero, en Puerto del Carmen.

Also, the new directorate of the Insular Association of Businessmen of Hotels and Apartments of Lanzarote has been renewed. 12 people who make up the directorate of ASOLAN, as managers of important businessmen in Lanzarote and the Canaries. Amongst them are, Juan Francisco Rosa Marrero, of the Fariones Group, Bárbara E. de Vik, proprietress of the hotel chain Vik Hotels (with presence in Lanzarote, Big Canary, Carib and South America) and the executive of the chain Hotetur in Lanzarote, Javier Seguí Torres.

The recent president of Asolan, Francisco Armas – who had served three terms in the last six years – has also been designated a member in the new directorate presided over by Susana Pérez.

Three new vice-presidents for the tourist zones of Coast Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, will be – respectively – Francisco Martínez García (manager of Aparthotel Los Zocos); Fernando Benítez González (manager of the hotel chain Beatriz Hoteles), and Héctor Pulido, of the complex Lanzasur.

Also, in the directorate L. Miguel Morales García, who represents The Grand hotel in Arrcife; Félix Rodríguez Hernández; of Apartments Rocas Blancas; and Bárbara E. de Vik, in representation of the chain Vik – proprietress of the Hotel Vik San Antonio, amongst others. Manuel Concepción Pérez will continue as secretary of ASOLAN.

The former president of ASOLAN, Francisco Armas, was grateful during his term of office ” for the support of the associates and the personnel of ASOLAN during his time as the Prwsident of Asolan and he pleaded that “those persons in the Administration, who have direct responsibility in the destinations of Lanzarote, stretch the hand of help to the tourist sector. They transmit safety to our investments and companies and ensure that every year thousands of tourists keep on preferring Lanzarote as the magic and idyllic place for a vacation “. He concluded his speech to strong applause from the businessmen of Lanzarote with a desire for them to “allow them to support our activity, to generate employment and labor stability to the immense majority of the citizens who live in Lanzarote”
