Can I get my prescription medicine in Lanzarote?

There was once a time when prescription drugs were freely available over the counter in Lanzarote. This is regulated now - and shouldn’t happen with all prescription medicines. However, there are some medications that are prescription only in the UK, but over the counter here. (more…)

The Spanish social security system is very similar to that in the UK. You pay monthly, either as a self-employed person, or your Employer will take care of this for you. This entitles you to a pension, sickness benefit, unemployment benefit, maternity pay and the right to receive the same free healthcare as Spanish nationals. (more…)
